For something completely different you can try building a model train outdoors in your backyard. It takes a little space, but you can ride a train, which is pretty cool. It will entertain you and your children endlessly (not to mention for other residences). If you do not have enough space for the full layout then you may have to try a more chaotic layout. Even just by the train entering the circle can be entertaining or you can design harga mdf your whole backyard around it. The first thing you should consider before building a model train outside is how much space you want to dedicate to it.
For indoor options that are safe for children to use, you may want to look at the HO scale trains. For adults, you may want to look at N gauge trains; That’s the most popular train among railroader models.
Car gauge gauge about 3 to 5 inches. Before you can start building your layout, you should create a wooden bench to support your layout. Usually, this is done with 4×6 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood supported by at least 6 feet per sheet. If you have little room to devote to set up then you have to do something complicated; Something I call “double parking the train”.
Cut a piece of 1/2 inch plywood to fit under your bed or sofa or the other. Then cut the 2-inch Styrofoam sheet of the same size and stick it to the bottom of the plywood sheet. The layout of the train will run on the side of plywood and styrofoam that can smoothly glide along the carpet without damaging it. Now that the base is complete, you can draw your layout right on the plywood and once you have all the components, you can start to attach the tracks directly to the surface.
A little trick when making a rail bed is to use a cork board because it muffles the noise as the train drove around your landscape. It does not matter if you use a cork board, but it can be more pleasing to the ear.
If you have components that you need to spike, use a small nail. Also, make sure that you use an isolated connector on the track, which changes the polarity separately.
Once the trajectory descends, the next step is to connect the cable. You need to drill a hole through plywood and styrofoam when it is necessary to start attaching all the components in the right place. After all is done, you should test your work by connecting it to the power supply and turn it on. If it does not work properly, then check all connections and power supply. Once everything is going well, you can start working on the landscape. Adding plants, surfaces, buildings and mountains make your layout much more appealing.
